Magazine Advert Analysis

Magazine Advert

I'm analysing a magazine advert to see how the layout works what is stereotypically shown on them. How the typography is used and the use of pictures that I can learn from in order to make mine the best it can be when it comes too it.

Close Up On Band Name
Typography
The text used is basic and bold this is so it can be easily read so that the name of the band is promoted to the target audience who would be reading the magazine to build them a star profile that will help them to sell there work as well as this album.
The rest of the text is slightly small but again in the same font type in order to make it clear as people wont waist time trying to read something that is fancy and pretty but not necessarily clear when read.

Aesthetics
The majority of the ad is a giant picture that is the same as the album cover this is to already embed it in the audience mind so that the recognise it when they see it in shops or the cover on iTunes to encourage them to buy it. The picture is of 2 men on a raft out on a lake or at sea with the colours turned up to make it echo the title of the album "The Perfect World" with a landscape that looks ideal and "perfect".

Audience
The audience for this album is Teen's and young adults. the artist them self are in their late 20's so direct there music at a younger audience as they are up to date with the current trends amongst young people and can make their music to complement them. The use of advertising in a magazine also connotes this as stereotypically it is younger people that would read a music magazine.
