Evaluation Question 2 - How effective is the combination of the main product and ancillary tasks?

The Main Product and the ancillary task's are all linked together through the theme of polaroid pictures taken directly from the lyrics of our song and the narrative we created for it. they also reuse the same colours and the photos used are scenes in the actual video to create continuity between them.

The Magazine ad connects to the digipack as they both heavily feature the artist in both performance and narrative shots. as well as using polaroid pictures for framing. They work together as there is a clear continuation between the two so show they are apart of advertising for the same product.

The video connects nicely to them both as well with shared shots, due to us doing the photo shoot the same day as the main shoots so we could set it up in the ways the take went. the digipack uses lots of mid-shots and close-ups of our artist as we wanted to use his image to promote our album as the narrative of the video is focused around him like our audience wanted in our early research. The shots used of our artist is also balanced between the two shirts we used to shot with like in the video, with about the same amount of shots in each shirt.

The Video connects to the mag ad in similar ways, with the ad showing off more of the theme of the video with less images of the artist as well as showing the genre themes of folk with the use of the close up of the guitar.
The Magazine also uses a location shot from the end of the video directly showing the end of the journey of the artist at the end of the video without showing how the narrative wraps up.
